Meringue - Grandma's Supermarket House cd
Levy, jonka nimi ei paljastu kansista kyllä millään ilveellä, paitsi jollain (ei ekalla) biisillä on sama nimi. Tää on vähän ku hilpeä appalakki versio Thinkkareista, ehkä elephant 6 henkisyyttä myös havaittavissa, vaikka voi olla vaan mun päässä. Pitäs ehkä joskus hommata Music from the Mint Green Nest hyllyn täytteeksi, kun ainakin JMT siitä tykkäs.

Tämähän on erinomainen. Pitsihaarukka vertasi Unwoundin Leaves Turn Inside Youhun eikä vertaus ole kovin kaukaa haettu. Suhteellisen säröistä suukeisarointia ja tunnelma on Leavesin tapaan syksyinen ja ajoittain hieman painostava. Pitkästä aikaa Bändin aiemmat levyt ovat olleet kirjastosta lainassa ja ovat roimasti post-punkimpaa, mutta myös hyviä. Jatkoon tämä bändi.

Ei siis läpeensä, mutta useassa kohtaa aika samanlaisilla vesillä. Löytyy sitä brittien suukeisarointitunnelmaakin roimasti ja yks naputuskomppiinkin perustuva menobiisikin. Ilahduttavan monipuolinen levy itse asiassa.
Jotenkin jännällä tavalla samankaltaisia levyjä tää ja uus Fly Pan Am. Kunkin bändin viitekehyksen vaikutekirjo otettu tosi monipuolisesti ja ennakkoluulottomasti sovitellen käyttöön, mutta tehty myös hienoja sävellyksiä.
