ME, CLAUDIUS: Hush, Suzanne KASETTI 7e
Using everything from turntables to skipping CDs, field recording, piano and sampling, Me, Claudius captures the musical and rhythmic events that exist in the most unexpected places in our environment. Me, Claudius is an experimental musician living in a village in Southern England. She has released music on Dinzu Artefacts, Bezirk Tapes and Linear Obsessional. ‘Hush, Suzanne’ is a volume of live tracks where a stack of 7” singles are sampled, scratched and needle-dropped. Recorded live in a village in England using two turntables. Autumn 2024
HALI PALOMBO: Wobblement CD 10e
Hali Palombo is a composer and multimedia artist from the American Midwest. She works primarily with found audio and field recordings, creating careful compositions from a wide variety of disparate sources. Wobblement is an album featuring chaotic yet organized compositions crafted from heavily distorted voice, electric guitar, piano, sounds from the Warner Brothers sound library, and various field recordings taken at Midwestern points of interest.
OISHI: Discoishi KASETTI 7e
Oops, did I just step on your tone, or is it the fish in my eyes swimming into yours?
Take me to the barber shop and cut everything, until no one can recognize anyone.

dubattavana, ilmestyy piakkoin:
SIRPA KALLA: All the Hollow Deck Bird-Dog KASETTI 7e
Sirpa Kalla was born in 2024 in Portugal, in the dunes of Adraga. She thrives on unintentionally generated sounds, the atmosphere of old industrial areas and the roughness and rasp of rust and debris. Sirpa Kalla cuts random loops from cassettes found in the streets and abandoned buildings, combining them with minimalist synths and contact mic'd objects.

https://artsyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/baladas
+ G Lucas Cranen kassusta mainio arvio uusimmassa Wiressä:
G Lucas Crane: Suddering Years (Artsy MC)
New York based experimental musician Crane has a long history of playing with bands like Wooden Wand and Woods, all while issuing his own recordings mostly using the Nonhorse moniker. Indeed, The Suddering Years is the first full album of Crane's work to be issued under his own name. The music is generally created by manipulating cassettes of voices, field recordings, machines of all sorts, and whatever else is to hand. But each individual piece is a total scramble through briars of unknown origins. Some possess a certain logical organisation and source, others are assemblages of utterly mysterious origin and content. Interesting to note how Crane's use of voices and words is completely opposed to the way Orchid Spangiafora uses them as rhythmic elements. I usually notice similar tendencies among sound collage artists, but not here. Some of the set is quite musical, some is complete chaos, and all of it is intriguing and unique as hell.
